Take your diving to the next level with a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. More focused on advancing your diving experience, rather than designed for highly experienced and advanced divers. The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is suitable for anyone who has their Open Water Diver certification and wants to get even more out of their scuba diving experience. Advanced Open Water Diving with PADI is all about adventure as you build up your confidence and boost your scuba nowledge and skills by embarking on Adventure Divers with your PADI instructor.

Who is the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course designed for?

Junior divers need to be at least 12 years old to enrol on the Advanced Open Water Diver Course and may only participate in suitable Adventure Dives. This is something to discuss with the PADI Instructor at your chosen Dive Shop. Adults who have Open Water Diver certification can enrol onto an Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

Experience Adventure Diving

Once you enrol on an Advanced Open Water Diver course you can begin your journey of Adventure Dives. To pass the course you must take both the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Divers and then choose three further dives, to complete the course and achieve certification. Diving becomes a whole new experience when it involves compass navigation and you go deeper than ever before, getting to grips with the physical and mental challenges of deep sea scuba diving.

You will also pick up a wide range of other new skills from underwater photography to fish identification and wreckage exploration.

Try out new scuba equipment

In addition to your standard scuba diving equipment, advanced level diving involves the use of new equipment including compasses, dive knives and dive tools. In different Adventure Dives you may need different equipment such as dry suits and dive lights or even rescue equipment such as lift bags if you undertake a search and recovery Adventure Dive.
